Which shape should I choose?

The jug is round, 20.5 cm / 8.1 in tall and about 14.5 cm / 5.7 in across. The bottle has straighter sides, 25.8 cm / 10.2 in tall and about 14 cm / 5.5 in across. The bottle suits longer stems.

Can I use fresh flowers?

It is sold for dried flowers and grasses. We have no confirmation that it is watertight, so we do not recommend filling it with water.

Will mine look exactly like the photos?

Close, not identical. Each vase is made by hand, so the texture and speckling vary a little from piece to piece.

How do I clean it?

Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth. A soft brush gets dust out of the texture.

A few dried grasses in a rough vase stay as they are for months. No water to change, nothing to wilt. The vase does half the work: its texture and faded colour sit well next to stems that have already gone pale.

A few things worth knowing before it arrives.

Does it come with the dried flowers?

No. The stems in the photos are for styling. You get the vase on its own.

Why does each one look different?

They are made by hand. Expect small differences in shape, colour and speckling.

Will it stand steady?

Yes. The base is about 9 cm / 3.5 in across on the jug and 10 cm / 3.9 in on the bottle.

Where does it work best?

On a shelf, a sideboard or a table, somewhere it will not get knocked. The handle makes it easy to move.

Every piece is shaped, sanded and finished in a small workshop. Grain, tone and outline move from one to the next, so the piece that arrives is yours rather than a copy of the photograph.
