The body is pressed in by hand while the clay is soft, so the creases catch the light from every side.
HANDMADE CERAMIC · JUG VASE14.5 cm / 5.7 in
Crumpled folds · Loop handle
A ceramic jug shaped by hand so its walls fold in on themselves, like paper squeezed and let go. No two crease quite the same. The mouth is wide and irregular, about 10.5 × 6 cm, for a loose handful of tulips, a few branches or dried stems. In white or black.
Ships in 1–3 business days · usually 7–20 business days to arrive
We have no confirmation that the inside is glazed. For fresh flowers, stand a small glass or jar of water inside. Dried and faux stems go straight in.
14.5 cm / 5.7 in tall and 14.5 cm / 5.7 in wide including the handle. The mouth is about 10.5 × 6 cm.
Close, not identical. It is shaped by hand, so the folds sit a little differently on every piece, and there may be tiny bubbles or freckles in the surface.
It is sold as a vase, not a serving jug. Use it for flowers and stems.
A small ceramic jug, shaped by hand so the body folds in on itself like a sheet of paper squeezed and let go. Each one creases a little differently. A loop handle on one side keeps it reading as a jug, even with nothing in it.
It is 14.5 cm / 5.7 in tall and 14.5 cm / 5.7 in wide including the handle, with a wide, irregular mouth of about 10.5 × 6 cm. Enough for a loose handful of tulips, a few branches or dried stems. In white or black.

Orders are prepared in 1–3 business days. Every piece ships from a partner workshop or supplier overseas and usually takes 7–20 business days to arrive. This is an estimate, not a guarantee. Tracking arrives by email, and an order with several pieces can turn up in more than one parcel.
Changed your mind? You have 14 days. Write to us first and we'll send you the return address. Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the piece arrived damaged or isn't what you ordered.
We work with solid wood, stone, glass and natural fibre, chosen for how they age rather than how they photograph. Every piece is finished by hand, so grain, tone and outline shift from one to the next.
A SMALL THING
Plica keeps the outline of an ordinary jug, handle and all, then lets the walls fold in. On a shelf it reads as a soft, creased shape. With a few tulips leaning out of the wide mouth, it looks like they were dropped in on the way past.

MATERIAL & MAKING
Ceramic, folded while soft, so every piece comes out its own way.
Ceramic
The body is pressed in by hand while the clay is soft, so the creases catch the light from every side.
Handle
A plain loop handle keeps the shape familiar, so the folds read as intentional.
Mouth
About 10.5 × 6 cm, so stems lean out at different angles rather than standing in a stiff bunch.
Two
White or black, the same size and the same folded shape.
FROM THE WORKSHOP
“It is meant to look slightly imperfect. If two arrived identical, something would have gone wrong.

GOOD TO KNOW
A few things worth knowing before it arrives.
We cannot confirm it. Put a small glass or jar inside for fresh flowers.
A loose handful of tulips, a couple of branches, dried grasses or faux stems.
Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Yes. Both colours are the same size and folded the same way, though each piece creases a little differently.

Made by hand
Every piece is shaped, sanded and finished in a small workshop. Grain, tone and outline move from one to the next, so the piece that arrives is yours rather than a copy of the photograph.
