Can I put water in it?

We do not recommend it. The openings pass through the body, so it is made for dried stems, a branch or display on its own.

Which shape should I choose?

The tall bottle is 28.5 cm / 11.2 in high and 14.5 × 9.5 cm across, for a sideboard or shelf. The low pebble is 13 cm / 5.1 in high and 19.5 × 8 cm across, for a coffee table or a stack of books. They are sold separately and sit well together.

Is it one piece or two?

One. Each option is a single vase. Order both shapes if you want the pair from the photos.

Will mine match the photos?

Close, not identical. Each vase is shaped by hand, so the swirl and the openings vary a little, and there may be tiny bubbles or freckles in the surface.

A black ceramic vase shaped by hand into a slow swirl. The body twists around itself and opens into small hollows that pass right through, so light shows through it from the side and the shadow on the wall moves with the sun.

Two shapes. The tall one is a bottle 28.5 cm / 11.2 in high and 14.5 × 9.5 cm across. The low one is a rounded pebble 13 cm / 5.1 in high and 19.5 × 8 cm across. Together they make a pair; apart, each holds a shelf on its own.

Because the openings go through the body, Umbra is made for dried stems, a single branch or nothing at all. We do not recommend filling it with water.
