A ceramic vase shaped by hand into a round, ribbed gourd with a short neck and a narrow foot. The surface is matte and slightly rough, so the ribs cast soft lines of shadow. Wide enough to hold a sideboard on its own, with or without a few dried branches. In brick red, white or black.

How big is it?

24.5 cm / 9.6 in tall and 25 cm / 9.8 in wide at the widest point. It is a substantial piece, not a bud vase.

Can I use fresh flowers?

We have no confirmation that the inside is glazed. For fresh flowers, stand a glass or jar of water inside. Dried branches go straight in.

Is the red a bright red?

No. It is a muted brick or terracotta red with a matte surface, closer to fired clay than to paint.

Will mine match the photos?

Close, not identical. Each vase is shaped by hand, so the ribs and the colour vary a little, and there may be tiny bubbles or freckles in the surface.

A handmade ceramic vase with a round, gourd-like body and a short neck. Deep ribs run from the shoulder down to a narrow foot, and the surface is left matte and slightly rough, so the ribs throw soft lines of shadow across it.

It is 24.5 cm / 9.6 in tall and 25 cm / 9.8 in wide: a wide, low-shouldered piece that holds a sideboard or a corner of the floor on its own. Add a few dried branches, or leave it empty. In brick red, white or black.

Each vase is shaped by hand, so the ribs and the colour vary a little from piece to piece. We have no confirmation that the inside is glazed. For fresh flowers, stand a glass or jar of water inside.

Does it hold water?

We cannot confirm it. Put a glass or jar inside for fresh flowers.

What looks good in it?

Two or three dried branches, a single tall stem, or nothing at all.

How do I clean it?

Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth. A soft brush clears dust from the ribs.

Are all colours the same shape?

Yes. Same size and ribbed form in all three colours.
