Form
Donut ring
A closed circle rather than a cylinder, which is what makes a simple stem arrangement look considered.
CERAMIC · SET OF TWOBlack speckle
Two heights · Narrow necks hold stems upright
Two ring vases in ivory ceramic, one 10.5 inches and one 8.5, with black speckles running through an unglazed surface. The neck is deliberately narrow, which holds stems upright without any help. Stood together they layer; set apart they hold the two ends of a shelf.

Yes, it's a set of two — one 10.5 in tall and one 8.5 in, sold together.
Both are watertight, so fresh flowers work as well as dried or faux stems.
1.7 in on the large vase and 1.4 in on the small one. Narrow on purpose, so a few stems stand upright on their own.
No, it's unglazed and matte, with black speckle running through the ivory.

Orders are prepared in 1–3 business days. Delivery then takes 3–7 business days from a US warehouse, or 7–20 from an overseas workshop. Tracking arrives by email, and an order with several pieces can turn up in more than one parcel.
Changed your mind? You have thirty days. Return shipping within the US is on us.
We work with solid wood, stone, glass and natural fibre, chosen for how they age rather than how they photograph. Every piece is finished by hand, so grain, tone and outline shift from one to the next.
A QUIET OBJECT
A pair does what a single vase can't. Stand them together and you get depth from the difference in height; put one at each end of a shelf and they bracket everything in between. Three stems in each is plenty.

MATERIAL & MAKING
A closed ring with a narrow neck, left unglazed.
Form
A closed circle rather than a cylinder, which is what makes a simple stem arrangement look considered.
Clay
Black flecks run through the body of the clay itself rather than sitting on top as a pattern.
Finish
Matte all over, so it catches side light and sits quietly next to wood and linen.
Detail
1.7 in and 1.4 in openings hold stems upright without a frog, a grid or tape.
FROM THE WORKSHOP
“The neck is the whole trick. Make it wide and the stems fall outward and you need something to hold them; keep it narrow and three stems stand exactly where you put them.

GOOD TO KNOW
A few things worth knowing before it arrives.
They're sold as a pair. The two heights are what make the arrangement work.
Same form and finish, different scale. The speckle falls differently through each one.
Two or three per vase — a single branch, tulips, dried grasses. Anything bushy fights the ring shape.
Warm water and a bottle brush. Empty them out between arrangements so nothing stains the inside.
Keep them inside. The surface is unglazed and will take on weather marks outside.

Made by hand
Every piece is shaped, sanded and finished in a small workshop. Grain, tone and outline move from one to the next, so the piece that arrives is yours rather than a copy of the photograph.
